Alex Rodriguez, Director of Operations
[email protected]
Alex joined Mother of Mercy House in May 2019. He is originally from Kensington and is proud to return to work in the neighborhood where he was raised. He is responsible for managing day to day operations for our mission, which is a newly created position. His most recent previous position was with Catholic Social Services, where he had been assigned to MoMH one day each week for the last two years. As a result, Alex began this work familiar with our leadership team and neighbors, so he truly “hit the ground running” on day one. The combination of his solid work ethic, straightforward communication style and gentle, caring spirit has quickly fostered an atmosphere of respect, trust and confidence both inside the mission and within the community we serve. He manages daily programs and long-term projects effectively, with an eye trained on the ever-evolving challenges that face our Kensington neighborhood. He is a smart and strategic planner, who also understands the need to be flexible and quickly responsive. Alex is indeed uniquely qualified for this challenging position.
Alex has also held positions at Casa del Carmen as a benefits counselor, Norris Square Civic Association as Site Director and Congreso de Latinos Unidos as an After-School Teacher. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Social Work from Alvernia University and an Associate Degree in Human Services from Harcum College. He currently resides in Jenkintown, Pa.
